The Instructional Solutions Group develops leading-edge media and courseware for teaching and learning at Yale, and oversees the deployment of Yale's next-generation online learning environment, Classes*v2.
Our mission is to promote innovative and effective uses of technology and new media to enhance learning, both on campus and outside of Yale.
Situated within the ITS Academic Media & Technology group, the Instructional Solutions Group has four primary areas of concentration:
  • Partner with Yale faculty on the development of innovative media and technology to enhance teaching and learning at the University
  • Oversee the deployment and ongoing development of Classes*v2, an online learning and collaboration environment built on the Sakai platform
  • Design and produce learning materials to be shared with off-campus audiences, as part of Yale's global educational mission
  • Consult with Yale departments and groups on effective information architecture, user interface design, and media outreach, on a per-project basis.
Project support for instructional material development is available to Yale faculty: please see Proposals for more information.
