The Broadcast Group produces video and audio programming for campus and world distribution. Working closely with the Yale University Office of Public Affairs (OPA), we produce hundreds of interviews with Yale faculty and administrators, both live and taped, for distribution through television, radio and Web-based networks. We also provide select media development services for on-campus teaching.
Situated within the ITS Academic Media & Technology group, the Yale Broadcast Group focuses on a core set of services:
  • Broadcasting services
    Fiber-linked video and audio feeds from our 59 High Street studio to major television and radio networks
    Simulcast distribution of special events through the Yale cable television network
  • Satellite programming
    Uplinks and downlinks for reception of live and taped programs, including teleconferences and educational programming
  • Video production
    Comprehensive development services for video capture of special events and classroom lectures
  • Streaming services
    Production and distribution of lectures and special events via the Web
  • Video Conversion, Duplication and Editing
    Transfer of audio and video material across formats (e.g., 16mm film to video)
    DVD authoring for professional presentations.
